These ‘who am I’ pages are always a little tough, as like me, many of us wear multiple hats in our lives. Our life stories change as our experiences change.
I’m Australian born, though I have been living in the United Kingdom now for almost thirteen years. I grew up in a seaside town just north of Brisbane, Queensland, and my mother still lives in the same house today.
I moved to the UK to follow my career aspirations at around thirty, and that’s where I met my now husband, and where we settled. I’m still focused on my busy career, and I continue to study in the field I work.
At the same time, writing is my creative outlet, and has been helpful and in some ways cathartic through the tougher times of my life. Writing has been a passion of mine since a very early age, having crafted many different stories over the years, some even winning awards. Reaching people through the written word inspires me, as it does when I’m reading a story (fiction or non-fiction) that I can truly get lost inside.
Keep updated on my journey, I’d love to stay in touch.
This isn’t my first blog however. I wrote a lot when I was trying to start a family, and through my fertility challenges and multiple losses. What started as a diary, became a blog and then a novel. Finding the Rainbow was my first published book (and the name of my blog). It inspired me to write and publish more work, which you can find today on Amazon.
